We were pleased to invite participants to the first International Symposium “Mucosal immunity at the oral-gut axis in health or disease”, which was held in Santiago, Chile. The symposium featured local and international leaders in mucosal immunology who discussed the connection between the oral cavity and intestine in health and disease. Attendees had the opportunity to meet recognized national and international researchers, learn about cutting-edge research in the field, and present their own work in oral and poster sessions.
The meeting was sponsored by the Society for Mucosal Immunology (SMI) and was organized in partnership with the Fundación Ciencia & Vida, the Chilean Association of Immunology (ASOCHIN), and the Faculty of Dentistry at the Universidad de Chile.
